    SUPREME COURT recently dismissing a petition by Lok Sabha MP Bhim Rao Baswant Rao Patil arising out of a High Court ruling that had declined to dismiss an election petition against him. The bench’s ruling strongly affirms the notion that a voter’s right to be fully informed about a candidate’s background is a pivotal aspect of our constitutional framework.
