Nagarathna during the hearing of a petition seeking judicial intervention against alleged hate speech directed at the Brahmin community.<\/p><p>It was questioned by the Bench why demands for protection were being raised by specific communities alone. It was remarked that a broader principle should be upheld\u2014wherein hate speech is rejected universally, irrespective of the community targeted.<\/p><p>The court\u2019s stand on hate speech in all forms was reiterated, with emphasis being placed on the fact that such conduct should not be tolerated in any section of society. A term, \u201cBrahmophobia,\u201d had also been introduced by the petitioner, who sought its recognition as a form of caste-based discrimination warranting punishment.<\/p><p>However, it was suggested by the Bench that the petitioner should cultivate the ability to remain unaffected by such expressions. It was noted that ignoring certain provocations could lead to their gradual disappearance, whereas reacting might escalate the situation further.<\/p><p>Subsequently, the petition was permitted to be
