The court emphasised that the insurance policy clearly excluded death caused by a disease and defined accidents as events that startle and involve violence. While expressing sympathy for the petitioner&#8217;s loss, the court concluded that the insurance company&#8217;s refusal to admit liability was neither arbitrary nor unreasonable.
