The region&#8217;s political dynamics took a decisive turn when the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) withdrew from its coalition government with the People&#8217;s Democratic Party (PDP) on July 19, 2018. Consequently, the region found itself under Central rule, with the Assembly being dissolved on November 21, 2018.
