    11 MEN JAILED IN SRINAGAR FOR NOT STANDING DURING THE NATIONAL ANTHEM

    This incident brings to mind previous cases involving the National Anthem and the Supreme Court.

    In one case, the court granted protection to children who did not join in singing the National Anthem, stating that forcing them to sing violated their right to religion.

    In another case, the court initially ordered that all cinema halls must play the National Anthem, but later modified its order, stating that playing it is optional.

    This recent incident where 11 men were jailed in Srinagar for not standing during the National Anthem. serves as a reminder of the ongoing debate surrounding the National Anthem and its place in society.
