    Amir’s love for cricket led him to develop a unique playing style that is nothing short of awe-inspiring. He has a unique batting style, gripping the bat between his neck and shoulder, and surprisingly, he uses his feet to bowl.     In the picturesque town of Anantnag, nestled in the heart of Kashmir, a tale of extraordinary courage and determination unfolds. This is the story of Amir Hussain Lone, a 34-year-old para cricketer who has defied all odds to pursue his passion for cricket.

    In 1997, a tragic accident at a sawmill claimed both of Amir’s arms. But what could have been a life-altering setback turned into a catalyst for an incredible journey. Refusing to let his circumstances define him, Amir chose to chase his dreams with unwavering resolve.

    Amir’s love for cricket led him to develop a unique playing style that is nothing short of awe-inspiring. He has a unique batting style, gripping the bat between his neck and shoulder, and surprisingly, he uses his feet to bowl.His innovative approach to the game has not only allowed him to play but also excel in the sport he loves.

    In 2013, Amir began his journey in para cricket. Today, he is the proud captain of the Jammu and Kashmir para cricket team. His leadership and sportsmanship have earned him respect and admiration from his teammates and opponents alike.

    Amir’s journey serves as a powerful testament to personal triumph and is a mirror reflecting the progressive evolution of para sports in India. The nation has made commendable progress in fostering and bolstering para sports. The Paralympic Committee of India has instituted a robust classification system to ensure a level playing field. This system clusters athletes with comparable levels of impairment, ensuring that an athlete’s success hinges on their skill, fitness, power, endurance, tactical acumen, and mental focus.

    Over the past decade, India’s para-athletes have consistently stepped up, enhancing their performances at various international championships. Despite encountering obstacles, the Indian Paralympic governing body perseveres in its mission to promote para sports.     Amir’s talent and determination have taken him to various para leagues across India and abroad. He has played in Delhi, Lucknow, Kerala, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and even in international venues like Nepal, Sharjah, and Dubai.
